If your employer, company or personal pension provider runs a Payroll Giving Scheme, you can donate straight from your wages or pension. This happens before tax is deducted from your income. Ask your employer or pension provider if they run a Payroll Giving Scheme. The tax relief you get depends on the rate of tax you pay. To donate £1, you pay 80p if you're a lower rate tax payer, 60p if you're a higher rate tax payer or 55p if you're an additional rate tax payer.
Employee Match Funding
Many organisations offer match funding as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility Programme. Some may match the amount you donate at an equal value and some may stipulate a value and a maximum amount.
Ask your employer if they run a Match Funding Scheme.
Donating Your School Deposit
If you are a current parent, you can elect to donate all or part of the deposit you paid upon joining the School.
To donate your deposit, please complete and return this form.
Donating Land, Property or Shares
Your may be able to reduce significantly the amount of income tax and capital gains tax you pay if you choose to donate shares or securities to the Annual Fund. Currently, shares donated to the Annual Fund attract income tax relief of 100% of their present market value. Donors will be able to claim tax relief at their highest rate of tax, via their Self-Assessment form or Corporation Tax return. In addition, the donated shares will not incur any capital gains liability. We suggest you speak to your financial adviser for specific advice, or go to https://www.gov.uk/donating-to-charity/donating-land-property-or-shares for more information.
