We have a variety of locations on our extensive site to play Rounders, the Junior school  mainly use the Paddock where we have 3 pitches to play on. We play in matches against local schools and enter tournaments at U9-U11. Boys and girls are invited to join Rounders club and one of the highlights of the year is the Croydon schools mixed Rounders tournament which we host.

Wow what an amazing game in our first match of the IAPS Rounders competition. After a bye in the first round we were straight into round 2! Orchard House were our opponents and we were batting first!

With a score of 7 ½ we needed to rely on our excellent fielding to hold them at bay. With a few big hits we held our nerve and took some amazing catches. The whole team were working superbly well together making great calls and going for every catch and opportunity to get them out. Once into the game Orchard House could only score 3.

In the second innings we upped our game again and scored a massive 15 rounders. The fielding was simply brilliant and with only a slight improvement of 1 ½ rounders Orchard House were all out again. Final score 22 ½ to 7 ½, wow. This is the first time we have won an IAPS Rounders match!! Congratulations to the whole team who were so supportive and a pleasure to watch maturely play against a very polite and lovely team. Fielding POM Zeena taking some fab catches and batting POM Millie for scoring 3 Rounders off 3 hits in a row! Such a great afternoon, well done girls. Into the final 16!

U9s at St Dunstan’s Rounders Tournament

The U9 girls played well at the St Dunstan’s tournament demonstrating improvements in their batting & fielding as the tournament went on. They narrowly lost the first game by 1 Rounder and the second by an agonising 1/2 a rounder. They then went on to win the next two games easily batting with increased consistency and fielding well too.

U10 Rounders Triangular

The U10A Rounders team played well at the Alleyn's Triangular in the sunshine!

Started off a bit slow but came 2nd overall with a loss and 2 wins!

U11 Hoe Bridge Tournament

Congratulations on simply amazing Rounders at the weekend. The girls batted demonstrating great consistent and fielded with great decision making and team work. They worked hard to get players out taking great catches, throwing accurately to bases and using their knowledge of the game to out class most of the teams. In a very tense and close game we narrowly lost our first game to a well drilled Hoe Bridge A team with a very tight score of 2 1/2- 4 it was a intense game. The girls then stepped up their game winning the next 3 matches scoring lots of great Rounders. They finished a credible 2nd- well done!
