The Junior School trampoline club is coached by ex GB trampolinists and offers an extensive programme catering for our recreational bouncers to our Elite level performers.

Training is held in our large Sports Hall where we have 6 trampolines, 2 of competition standard and 4 training beds. We work closely with RSC who train at Royal Russell and compete on the National circuit, we have access to their 3 National standard trampolines when required.

At local level we host Novice competitions and the Croydon Schools event where we win at both Novice & Elite level. We also host the IAPS Trampoline National with over 200 competitors it's a great event. We are current U11 girls team nathional champions, U11 boys individual champion, U9 girls team runners up, U9 girls runner up and U9 girls 3rd place.

We enter the National schools competition and progressed 3 teams plus 5 individuals through to the Southern Zonal finals. At the Zonal finals the U11 girls Intermediate team won the event and qualified for the National schools finals where they finished in an amazing 2nd place in the whole of Great Britain, a simply awesome result. 


National Schools Trampoline Finals

Jasmine travelled with the 13 Senior pupils to Belfast for the finals. She bounced really well completing her routines to a very good standard. In the U11 intermediate group Jasmine finished in a credible 8th individually! The U13 Novice team were 5th alongside Matt. Finishing the day on a high the U14’s were 3rd and U19’s 2nd! A brilliant day.

Surrey Schools Sport Acro Competition

The U11A and B teams travelled to Streatham and Clapham for the competition. The pupils had to perform a 2 minute long pairs sequence to include balances and skills. They have worked really hard perfecting their sequences and were rewarded with finishing in 3rd place in their respective competitions!


Southern Zonal Trampoline Finals

Our 27 strong trampoline squad travelled to Gillingham for the next round of the National schools event. The day started with the U11’s all competing great routines showing significant improvements from the last round. The competition included individuals and teams competing. Lara and Tino finished in 11th and Alfie 12th individually in the novice event, a brilliant achievement out of all the schools in the South! The U11B girls team and U11 boys team finished in 4th with the U11A team in 5th place. What an amazing set of results.

Next it was Jasmine’s turn in the U11 Intermediate event and the stakes were high with an individual place at the National finals on offer in return for 2 great routines. Jasmine did not disappoint and held it together producing the goods need to secure a place in Belfast at the National Schools Trampoline Finals!! Huge congratulations Jasmine on the brilliant result. She joins ex Junior school pupils Eivie, Matt, Anna, Amelia, Grace, Maddy and Emelie who also qualified through to the Nationals. A great team effort by all the coaches and pupils.

IAPS National Trampoline Championships


The trampoline squad performed some excellent routines and proved that hard work pays off! In the U9 section after a tense wait and two beautifully stylish routines Hannah finished a simply brilliant 3rd. With the team of Hannah, Dixie (6th), Shayna (10th) and Naia (12th) the girls finished as runners up! The B team Emma, Eva, Emily & Bethany were 10th out of 12 teams- well done.

In the U11 section, the biggest group of the day with 75 competitors and 19 teams, the girls once again pulled off some great results. Eivie finished in 2nd for the second year running and the team of Eivie, Jasmine (5th), Amber (6th) and Amy (12th) retained the team title and are NATIONAL CHMPIONS! Our B team- Mia (18th), Safia (19th), Yasmin and Alexa finished a brilliant 9th with the C team – Lauren, Rosie, Cassie & Lara were 10th. Both teams beating several schools A teams! The D team- Avni, Diya, Lucy and Zena also finished in a brilliant 14th.

National Schools Trampoline Final

The U11 Intermediate team of Jasmine, Eivie, Amber & Amy travelled to Newcastle for the finals. They had already qualified through 2 rounds so this was the grand final. The girls bounced amazingly well, fantastically stylish routines and showed significant improvements from the Southern Zonal finals. After a long and intense wait we found out we had finished 2nd in the country!! A simply outstanding result, we have never won a medal at the National finals!

Croydon Schools Trampoline Championships

The trampoline squad bounced their way to glory at the Croydon Schools Trampoline Championships. In the U11 Novice group Yasmin performed 2 fantastic routines to be crowned Croydon Schools Champion, with great routines from Safia finishing in 2nd and Mia in 3rd, well done girls your hard work has certainly paid off. Consistency was evident from the rest of the girls with everyone completing their routines with improved height and style, well done.

The A team Safia, Mia, Alexa (4th) and Lara (8th) bounced their way to team victory with the B team Yasmin, Cassie (6th), Hannah (7th) and Rosie (8th) were hot on their tail in 2nd.

In the U11 Intermediate section Eivie jumped 2 fantastic routines to win the Croydon Schools title, she was pushed all the way by Jasmine using a new voluntary routine who finished 2nd. With Amy and Amber bouncing brilliantly too to finish equal 3rd the girls are preparing nicely for the National Finals in 2 weeks time. The girls won the team event!

Southern Zonal Trampoline Finals

The 19 strong trampoline team travelled to Taunton, Somerset for the Southern Zonal Trampoline finals, out of 80 plus schools Royal Russell had the second highest amount of qualifiers! This competition is the finals of 4 Regional competitions so getting this far is a great achievement. After a relaxing and fun meal out together on the Saturday for 47 of us we were all ready for the competition.

The U11 novices bounced brilliantly showing real improvements and consistency in their routines. Mia and Yasmin secured individual places at this event and finished 9th and 10th respectively, a great result out of the whole of the South of England! The U11A team- Alexa, Safia, Mia and Lara all put in solid performances to finish 5th in a very tight group, with the U11B team (the only B team there!)- Yasmin, Rosie, Cassie and Yasmin coming 9th.

Next it was the U11 Intermediate girls turn, again all the girls completed fantastic routines with most of them using new voluntaries with multiple somersaults in! Eivie, Jasmin and Amber all competed as individuals with the girls finishing 7th, 8th & 10th - brilliant. We now had to wait for the team result!! After a nervous hour the results were put up and we were CHAMPIONS! This result qualifies the team for the National schools trampoline finals in Newcastle in March a totally amazing achievement and very well deserved after all their hard work. Connor in Year 10 also secured an individual place at the finals!
